On behalf of the international fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi, I would like to welcome you to the Spring 2017 recruitment season. Since 1907, Delta Sigma Pi has delivered strong individuals that have gone on to achieve many great things in the professional world. Being a brother of Delta Sigma Pi equips you with the necessary tools to grow personally and professionally through a series of internal mentorships, a strong international network of alumni, and consistent exposure to leading corporations. This spring, we are so excited to have you experience a fun, engaging recruitment week to show what Delta Sigma Pi is all about and how you can “Go for the Gold with Delta Sigma Pi” and find your perfect niche at the U of A.
Our spring rush week allows you the opportunity to meet the chapter and see that the brothers of Gamma Psi’s chapter are your peers who share the same goals as you. You will be able to chat with current members, as well as alumni in a comfortable setting and get a small taste of what it is like to be a part of an exceptional professional fraternity. My goal during rush week is for you to be able to witness a brotherhood that is authentic and unlike any other organization on campus. Before checking out our events, let me tell you a few things you can gain from Delta Sigma Pi: Professional Excellence First and foremost, we are a professional business fraternity and your professional development is our top priority. We are able to help you achieve your career goals through our comprehensive series of professional events that will help illuminate your career path. A couple of noteworthy events we have held include public speaking workshops, resume and cover letter workshops, and networking seminars with corporate sponsors such as Edward Jones, Goldman Sachs, and Texas Instruments. To get a sense of where some of our brothers end up after graduation, take a look at our careers. Solid Faculty and Alumni Network Our current faculty initiates serve as outstanding resources for brothers and we try to utilize our personal access to them as frequently as we can. After graduation, our alumni remain an integral part of our day-to-day and we are so fortunate to use them to land personal dream jobs. Many of our alumni have become top performers in respected firms like Protiviti, Edward Jones, Ernst & Young, E&J Gallo, and many more. Commitment to Service As a brotherhood, we strongly encourage giving back to the community. A constant initiative of the fraternity is to enhance our philanthropic efforts in creative and innovative ways that make it enjoyable for everyone. This past spring, Gamma Psi completed over 500 hours of community service and participated in over 16 events. We also are proud to participate annually in Eller Make a Difference Day and the MS Walk. Check out more of what we do for community service! New Opportunities Delta Sigma Pi is a great base to flex your leadership potential. From the start, our new brothers may find themselves with the opportunity to take on a leadership position within their own pledge class or later in active chapter. This is the optimal way to help share your voice and hone your strengths. Throughout the pledge program, you will be exposed to many professional opportunities such as a case competition, elevator pitches, and interview workshops. These will provide the necessary skills to prepare for future events such as the Eller admission process and internship applications. We are constantly brainstorming new ideas, and it is empowering to know that regardless of what stage you are at in your undergraduate career, you can still make a big difference! Qualifications
I joined Delta Sigma Pi as a second semester sophomore after hearing great things about this fraternity through many individuals. Immediately after becoming a pledge, I found my professional and interpersonal skills flourish. From being surrounded by people who share similar aspirations, to helping the community through service events, to growing my network, I can easily say it has been the best decision I've made in my college career. I recommend anyone to come out to rush and just talk to actives about their experiences. I hope to meet you all! Maxwell Plummer, Senior Vice President |
